Larry Vasquez, commanding officer for Naval Base Ventura County, will throw the ceremonial first pitch before the Los Angeles Dodgers play the San Francisco Giants at 1:10 p.m.The event is open to the public. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis for $25 in the infield reserve and $35 in the all-you-can-eat sections.Tickets include a commemorative CI Dodger Day T-shirt and free bus transportation between the CI campus and Dodger Stadium. Call 818-889-2239 for more information.OXNARDRedevelopment is topic of workshopA public workshop on the future of properties owned by Oxnard's former redevelopment agency -- the vacant Social Security building downtown, a restaurant in Heritage Square and 13 acres near Ormond Beach are among the 46 parcels -- will take place Wednesday evening.Officials have said they want residents' input regarding the ultimate fate of the properties. Some could be sold off as part of the state-mandated shutdown of redevelopment operations.The workshop will run from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the first floor community room of 300 W.
